The cedar I planted… was never just a tree

And its shade… a homeland waiting for the rain

I planted it not to wither with the passing seasons

“Here lived a woman who loved—

Who loved a land until it became her very blood.”

The cedar I planted—

I dedicated it to knowledge… and it soared

To the map… and horizons expanded

To the flag… and it fluttered above all pain

And to the cedar itself… and it became an eternal oath

They say: “A year has passed”

I say: “It has not passed”

For it is forever etched into the cedar’s bark—

In a color, in a stride, and in unshakable faith

The cedar I planted

Will never die as long as there remains among us

One who plants beauty to comfort the weary

And one who paints the homeland… sovereign, free, and independent.
